About
The information contained on this website provides selected examples of
structures. This website also contains some of the research that we have
conducted over many years.
There has been extensive collaboration with entrepreneurs, manufacturers
and builders to develop particular applications of fibre reinforced
concrete. All of the example structures and much of the research has
been initiated as a result of a desire to develop new applications that
provide benefits to their organisations.
Through a wide variety of "real world" innovative structures, a large
body of information has been built up that we can draw on. We are always
searching for new applications and spheres of interest. Contact is
invited from organisations and individuals who have an interest in fibre
reinforced concrete, especially with a view to exploring new ideas and
applications of the technology.
Research has often been done in collaboration with universities. However
private laboratories and testing facilities that have also made major
contributions. This has been especially relevant when private companies
and organisations wish to develop new products and/or construction
methods.

As someone who has had a long interest in fibre reinforced concrete
I'm delighted to initiate a wider conversation with the construction
industry. Over the years I have been involved with a number of the
projects and research initiatives shown on this website.
This breadth and depth of work cannot be done by one person and
I've been very fortunate to collaborate with a number professional
engineers in industry and universities. We would like to advance the
understanding and (particularly) the application of fibre reinforced
concrete.
There are many ways in which we can collaborate with industry. They
range from making information freely available - as on this website -
to advisory roles to full engagement on proposed structures. As a
consulting engineer with over 35 years of experience I'm well aware of
the opportunities and constraints when developing innovative new
applications. Formal consulting can be provided through a legal entity
based in Australia. There is also extensive international
experience to draw on.
Any opportunities to develop new fibre reinforced concrete
applications in a commercial framework are welcomed.
